THE WRONG DANCE TYPE: 2-wall line dance COUNTS: 40 beats of music CHOREOGRAPHER: Don Deyne (DRDeyne@aol.com (618)624-5833) PREPARED BY: Don Deyne (DRDeyne@aol.com (618)624-5833) SUBMITTED BY: Don Deyne (DRDeyne@aol.com (618)624-5833) DIFFICULTY: Intermediate MUSIC: Up-tempo Latin rhythm (FAST cha-cha) You're No Good - Reba McEntire - 108 Who Needs You Baby - Clay Walker - 124 You Got The Wrong Man - Tim McGraw - 148 All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down - The Mavericks - 148 NOTE: When I first heard Tom McGraw's "You Got The Wrong Man" I knew I wanted to write a dance for it. BUT! I could hear nothing in the rhythm but CHA-CHA. Well, that's OK, 'cept I don't like doing cha-cha at 148 beats per minute! So I let it just kinda stew for a few weeks and eventually came up with something close to what became counts 17-24. The idea here is to let the music dictate your styling. Even when I teach this to my classes I tell them I don't care if they hit the exact steps, but to take 8 even steps and move with the music.
